Deputies investigate alleged robbery and kidnapping
MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The Brevard County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating an armed robbery that was reported at an Aflac Insurance Office in Merritt Island.
Shortly before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, a white man in his early 20s, entered the office at located at 2094 N. Courtenay Parkway, deputies say. An officer worker was tied up, briefly held at gunpoint, then taken to a nearby bank to withdraw money. The suspect then returned the victim back to the business and left with the victim's car.
The suspect was wearing a white shirt, black pants, and a black baseball cap. He is described as having some facial hair and a thin build.
Deputies are looking for a 4-door, cream colored, 2003 Mitsubishi Diamante that is missing the front bumper and has tinted windows, which are peeling off.
