Disney TV star to serve lunch to kids in Detroit

DETROIT (WJBK) -

An actress who stars in a Disney Channel show is coming to Detroit to serve lunch to a group of children.

Alexandria "Allie" DeBerry from "A.N.T. Farm" is to visit the Diehl Boys & Girls Club on Monday.

She's appearing in support of Gleaners' Hunger Free Summer campaign, which provides food to hungry children during the summer months.  

The Diehl Boys & Girls Club is one of 60 Hunger Free Summer sites that will serve lunch to children through Aug. 9.

DeBerry will be back in town next month to perform in the Tween Stars Live Tour at Freedom Hill Amphitheater in Sterling Heights (July 27). The show also stars Daniella Monet ("Trina" from  Nickelodeon's Victorious), Calum Worthy ("Dez" from Disney's Austin & Alley), Peyton List ("Emma" from Disney's Jessie) and Jennifer Stone ("Harper" from Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place).
