OCALA, Fla. (WOGX FOX 51) -

An Ocala man was arrested Monday after Sheriff's detectives got a tip that he was "building machine guns inside his home."

Charles Lester, 48, faces multiple illegal weapons and drug charges.

Detectives with a search warrant say that as they worked at Lester's Dogwood Trail Court property, Lester arrived home, and they found two guns on him. Lester does not have a concealed weapons permit, they said.

Detectives found more than a dozen guns at the home, five of which had been converted to fully automatic weapons.

Lester admitted he converted the guns to fully automatic rifles and doesn't have a license to purchase, produce or sell the weapons, according to the arrest report.

Drug paraphernalia also was found at the home.

Lester posted $16,250 bond and was released from the Marion County Jail overnight.
