Wal-Mart Drops Paula Deen

Posted: Updated:

Wal-Mart is the latest company to drop celebrity chef Paula Deen after the racism scandal.

Embattled celebrity chef Paula Deen appeared on the "Today" show Wednesday morning, defending herself, saying she's not a racist.

The celebrity chef dissolved into tears during the interview, trying to explain she wasn't a racist despite saying in a legal deposition that she's used racial slurs in the past.

On Good day, FOX 29 spoke with celebrity strategist Dyana Williams and radio personality Q-Deezy about whether Deen's comments ring true.

They both agreed that Deen's distraughtness was credible, but they doubted the sincerity of her apology.

Since being dropped by Food Network and Smithfield Farms, sales of Deen's cookbook have exploded.
