NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Westchester County Police are investigating the shooting death of a gun hobbyist inside his house in Mahopac, NY.

The victim's wife found Jonathan Orser, 41, dead after returning to their East Lake Blvd home on Thursday evening. The shooting does not appear to be suspicious, according to police.

Orser maintained a large cache of automatic weapons, low explosive powders, hand grenades and military ordinance, said police.

Some of the ordinance in the house was taken to West Point where it would be disposed.

Surrounding homes were evacuated as a precaution during the removal through Friday morning.
