One Year Anniversary Of Society Hill Murder, Still No Leads

SOCIETY HILL -

Tonight, the search for a killer, one year after Michael Hagan is gunned down.

Mike Hagan, the father, returns to the Society Hill spot that changed his life forever, one year ago.

He's leaving a large poster with Michael Hagan Jr.'s picture on it and flowers.

The 32-year-old was gunned down at 4th and Lombard on July 1st, 2012.

"It feels like yesterday; time has just gone by so quickly. Everyday you re-live this," says Hagan.

A brilliant Philadelphia IT Consultant was taken away in a city he loved so much.

With no arrest made in the crime.

"He moved to the city because he fell in love with the city...and this is what he got," Hagan.

Michael was walking home after a night out last summer when police say someone approached him and shot him during an apparent robbery.

Police did not find any witnesses even in such a busy part of the city.

"There's bars up here. South Street is right there. Being that time of night, I don't know how nobody didn't see anything."

Mike Hagan thought a break came when police released a composite of a man wanted for shooting a neighborhood pharmacist after robbing him in the same spot where Michael was killed.

"With that young man we thought, 'Well here it is! It could be the same guy.'"

That victim survived, but police sources tells FOX 29 it's not the same shooter that killed Michael.

So one year later, Hagan renews his fight to get his son's killer in cuffs.

He even posted a new round of flyers down Lombard street with a $50,000 reward notice.

They also have a billboard up to keep the case alive too, hoping that break comes soon and the suspect gets arrested.

"He's going to hurt somebody else and that's what we're trying to do is get him off the street," says Hagan.
