CLERMONT, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

A case of road rage led a motorcyclist to follow a driver to a Papa John's parking lot, smash the man's car window and punch him twice in the face as his young daughter watched, police say.

Lawrence Ostin was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff's Office on Monday, Clermont Police announced Wednesday.

The incident happened June 16, police said.

According to a police news release, officers responded to the Jimmy John's at 2517 U.S. Highway 27 after a 911 call reporting a road rage incident and fight.

According to the victim, he unknowingly cut off a motorcyclist while in traffic. The motorcyclist became agitated and followed the man, driving near him aggressively and at one point running his motorcycle into the man's vehicle, police said.

The driver pulled into the parking lot of the Jimmy John's, and the motorcyclist followed.

That's when the motorcyclist approached his car, smashed out the driver's side window with his fists and punched the man twice in the face as the man's upset 4-year-old daughter watched from the back seat, the man reported to police.

Witnesses saw the incident and took down the motorcyclist's license plate number and provided a description to authorities. Police identified the motorist as Ostin.
