Group wants photos of every Vietnam vet listed on memorial wall
The fundraisers behind the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., need your help with their latest project: collecting pictures of all of the fallen.
So far, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund has collected photos of 32,000 of the 58,000 people on the wall. Now, they hope the public can help them with the thousands of people they hope to add to The Wall of Faces.
"We've found that one man or one woman can make a big difference," memorial fund representative Jan Scruggs said.
"When someone decides to do this or the mayor of a city or [former] Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico, he wanted all the photos from New Mexico. He was determined to do it, and he did it with a lot of help."
The group is also raising money for an education center approved by Congress.
