Family: Moving company fails to deliver belongings to new home

Posted: Updated:
DAVISBURG, Mich. (WJBK) -

After moving from Arizona last month, Margaret Sawyer says she arrived in Davisburg with her kids June 10, but all of her belongings did not. Now, nearly a month later, they are nowhere to be found.

So, there must be a really good excuse for this, right?

A San Francisco-based moving company called Green Moving Inc. was supposed to deliver the goods. But when FOX 2 tried to contact them, all we got was a busy signal. Another contact number had been disconnected. And according to the Better Business Bureau's website, their accreditation was revoked one year ago.

Sawyer says she paid the company $950 and was told to pay the rest , about $1,000, when her things arrived. But when she called again last week she was told her stuff was sitting in a California warehouse.

"There not going to get the rest of their money from me until my stuff is in my house," said Sawyer.

FOX 2 was eventually able to get a representative from Green Moving Inc. on the phone. They say they're looking into the situation.
