Metro area braces for another wet weekend

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

It's beginning to sound like a broken record: more heavy rain is rolling through the metro Atlanta area.

FOX 5 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Ken Cook said that the good news is after some showers late Friday, we'll have a few hours without rain.

However, keep the umbrellas handy because more rain is expected throughout the weekend.

There will likely be spotty showers on Saturday afternoon, while Sunday could see some heavier storms.  Some areas could see an additional inch or more of rain.

A Flood Watch continues into Sunday for many areas.(CLICK HERE FOR A LIST OF CURRENT WATCHES/WARNINGS)

Cross your fingers: Ken says next week should see the return of more regular seasonal patterns.
