Support VOA's Operation Backpack

Posted: Updated:

Join us and support Operation Backpack! Help us Stuff-A-Bus full of new school supplies for children in need!

It's time to start getting those back-to-school supplies together!  Studies show that children who are well prepared for school perform better - but it can be tough for families who can't afford supplies. That's why Volunteers of America Michigan (VOA) steps up to help cut the cost!

Join FOX 2 and 96.3 WDVD as we team up for the 5th year to support VOA's Operation Backpack program.  The program provides low-income children with new supplies needed for the school year.

Starting school with new supplies gets kids excited and confident about learning! Last year, Operation Backpack helped 1,200 students start school with a new backpack filled with all new supplies. This year, we want to help just as many students – and we need your help!

Whether you donate a new pack of pencils or a backpack full of new supplies, anything helps! Donations can be dropped off at any of the three Stuff-A-Bus locations around metro Detroit.

The 2013 Stuff-A-Bus will be August 1 to August 4!
