Brookhaven unveils new fleet of police cars

ATLANTA -

The city of Brookhaven unveiled its new fleet of police cars on Tuesday.

Brookhaven police will divide the city into six patrol zones with a goal of three minute response times.

Brookhaven's new police chief Gary Yandura said public safety will be a top priority. According to Yandura, Officers will begin two weeks of training on Monday and then hit the streets on July 31, which marks the one year anniversary of the day citizens voted to incorporate the city.

The Brookhaven City Council will also meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a final public hearing before voting on its first official millage rate.
