Posted: Updated:

Nigel Lythgoe is keeping himself quite busy since he left his job as executive producer of "American Idol." He continues as a judge on "So You Think You Can Dance" (where he re-united with Paula Abdul on Tuesday night's show). This weekend, he's hosting a big benefit gala for the Dizzy Feet Foundation.

It's called "Celebration of Dance," and Nigel talks about all of the above with Steve Edwards and Maria Sansone on Good Day L.A.

Fun Facts about Nigel Lythgoe:

  • Lythgoe became interested in dance at the age of 10 and His first professional job was in the Corps de Ballet for the National tour of "The Merry Widow."
  • In 1969, Lythgoe performed with the BBC's "Young Generation" dance troupe. He became their choreographer in 1971 and has since choreographed over 500 television shows.
  • Lythgoe moved to the U.S. in 2002 to produce American Idol and then became producer/judge and co-creator of So You Think You Can Dance on the FOX television network.
  • He owns a vineyard in Paso Robles, California.

Sutter Zachman had his first record deal when he was barely out of his teens. You may have seen the Orange County native was on stage at the Largo and other hot clubs around LA. He then left town...after what he called a few "bouts" with the music business, but now he is back with a new EP called ‘Repeat Offender.'
