Soldier saves man in wheelchair from subway tracks

Posted: Updated:

Some terrifying moments caught on camera at a subway station in Washington, D.C.

In video, recorded by a security surveillance camera, you see a man in a motorized wheelchair fall face-first onto the tracks – just inches from the electrified rail.

Fortunately for him, a U.S. Army Specialist sprung into action and pulled the man off the tracks.

Specialist Michael Menchaca is now being considered to receive the Soldier's Medal, the U.S. Army's highest peace-time award.
