Seminole deputies seek 1 or more who fled shootout, crash
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Seminole County deputies are searching for at least one person connected with a shootout on a busy road that ended with a crash Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting occurred just before 3 p.m. in front of a florist shop in a shopping center at State Road 434 and Manor Avenue in Altamonte Springs.
Investigators say the shooting is possibly drug-related.
Two cars sped away from the scene, they said: a black Dodge Cobalt and white Pontiac Grand Am. The Cobalt crashed a few miles away, near Interstate 4 at State Road 436 and Douglas Avenue.
Three people tried to flee the wrecked car but were arrested. A man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with gunshot wounds. Another person was taken to a hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
At least one or more people in the Grand Am abandoned the car and have not been found. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call authorities.
