2 injured in chain reaction crash in Prescott Valley

Posted: Updated:
PRESCOTT, Ariz. -

At least two people were hurt in a chain-reaction crash involving multiple vehicles in Prescott Valley Wednesday.

Officers say a pickup truck hauling a camper connected to a trailer with a fifth wheel went too fast around a turn on Highway 69 near Main Road.

The driver crashed into the median and rolled onto its side, causing some sort of explosion in the trailer.

The truck then collided with a red minivan, which struck a tanker. The van got pinned under the tanker.

The pickup also hit a white car, which slammed into an SUV.

A medical helicopter flew the driver of the van to a valley hospital.

Paramedics took the driver of the car to the hospital by ground.
