FOX Fursday: Mick's Story

Earlier this week, we told you about this little Mick, a puppy whose story has gone viral.

Mick suffers from a disease called "swimmer puppy" that causes all of his legs to spread out flat so he can't walk or stand.

Most puppies with the disorder are put to sleep.

But the MIA Foundation – which aims to give all animals born with birth defects a fighting chance – took on Mick by providing therapy to help get the pup's legs back.

And watch what happened! In less than two weeks, they had the little guy walking and running.

Guess who was in the "Good Day Philadelphia" studio on Thursday morning with our Sue Serio for FOX Fursday? Mick, the MIA Foundation's Sue Rogers, and some friends came all the way from Rochester so we could check out their progress in person.

Shown with Mick were Mateo, a 10-week-old pit bull, and Misty, a 4-week-old boxer-mastiff mix. Both were born with a cleft lip or palate

Anyone can adopt the MIA's animals. Here's a link to the foundation's website.
