President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will be in Florida this weekend to address injured veterans at the Disabled American Veterans National Convention in Orlando.

Nearly 4,000 injured veterans and guests are expected to attend the convention which runs from Aug. 10 through 13 at the Hilton Orlando Resort at 6001 Destination Parkway.

Several seminars will be held to inform members on key legislative and policy issues affecting veterans. A central discussion will be what actions the Veteran's Affairs Administration and Congress are implementing to eliminate the backlog for delivering benefits to veterans.

President Obama is expected to speak to attendees at noon on Saturday, following an introduction by the first lady.
