ATLANTA -

Police have made an arrest in a deadly shooting at Underground Atlanta.

The shooting took place Monday afternoon on Alabama Street. An eyewitness told FOX 5 that a robbery victim fought back and was shot in front of his wife and children.

Anqwetta Godwin was on break when she saw the violence play out. She said that the man was surrounded by a group of men looking to rob them. The dispute ended in gunshots.

Godwin said that the victim continued to fight back even after he was struck by bullets.

"When he took those four shots, he was still fighting them off and then he just collapsed right there in the middle of the steps," said Godwin.

Godwin watched in horror as the gunman ran and emergency crews rushed the man to the hospital.

The victim, believed to be in his 20s, didn't survive those gunshot wounds.

Investigators confirmed to FOX 5 late Monday that an arrest was made. It was not clear if any other suspects were being sought.
