Fetus Found In Bethlehem Pub Bathroom

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

Inside a restaurant, the unthinkable is found in the women's bathroom.

"Very honestly, we're still at a loss at finding something like that," says Dave Rank.

Dave Rank is owner of Starters Pub in Lower Saucon Township. He tells FOX 29 that the morning cleaning crew discovered a dead fetus inside the toilet tank.

"Don't know how or what time it was put there. We assume it was yesterday," says Dave.

It's sad because someone would have loved to have that child," says Gina.

Gina Spinosa is a mother of 5 children, including the owner of Casa Mia Pizzeria. it's in the same shopping center as Starters Pub.

"I can't believe they only think that far. They think it's the end of the world," says Gina.

At this point, it's unclear how or why the baby was put there. The Northampton District Attorney's office would only say they are investigating.

For now, Dave and his staff are praying for the mom and her family.

"None of us know the reasoning," says Dave Rank. "Mom, if you are listening, please let people know you're not by yourself. There are people who will support you because no one knows the situation at this point."

The owner says that staff who didn't feel comfortable coming in to work today could stay home. Dave hopes it will help his employees heal from what they had to witness and experience this morning.

Most states do have "Safe Haven" laws to protect women with unwanted children.

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
