When it comes to Emmy nominations, Dot Marie Jones is 3 for 3. Next month, the Glee star is hoping for her first win. The star talked to Steve and Maria Wednesday about how the part was written just for. She got the job in a very unusual place.

"I'd ran into Brad (Falchuk, co-creator of Glee) at the grocery store...and asked what are you doing? He goes we're just finishing up the first season of Glee. I was like 'Oh my God I love the show...why don't you guys write me something?'"

Jones also put on a great acting performance at the store...lying through her teeth while answering a crucial question about her role on the show.

"He said do you sing and I said I'm no Mariah Carey but I can carry a tune...I never sang in my life."

We'll find out if the third time's a charm for Dot...the Emmys are announced September 22nd. The new season of Glee kicks off September 26th on FOX.
