ATLANTA -

Police say one person was injured in a shooting inside an Atlanta restaurant on Tuesday.

The shooting took place inside a Benihana restaurant on Peachtree Road. According to Atlanta police, a man was shot once in the buttocks and transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Police say that the victim was approached by two people as he left the restaurant. The man tried to go back into the restaurant and was shot in the doorway, according to police.

The suspects fled in a tan Dodge Charge and were last seen heading north on Peachtree Road, according to authorities.

Two other people received minor lacerations, but did not go to the hospital, according to Officer John Chafee of the Atlanta Police Department.

Police have not determined a motive, but said that it appeared that the victim was targeted.
