Michigan man stops at Chase Field during ballpark tour for lymphoma

A Michigan man is traveling to 30 Major League Baseball Ballparks in 30 days to raise money and awareness for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

Eric Mueller started the journey to celebrate his upcoming 50th birthday and honor his father, who passed in 2000 after battling lymphoma.

"It's really amazing how many people are touched by blood cancer. It seems like everybody knows a relative or a friend suffering from this and as a result they all want to help. I'm really grateful for all the generous donations."

Mueller will visit Chase Field on Monday.

"It gets kind of crazy, I'm hopping from Minnesota to Florida, Chicago, Canada for the Blue Jays. I love ballparks, San Francisco was nice, San Diego was nice, Texas was nice. I just enjoy all of them."

Plus, he got the opportunity to meet Diamondbacks outfielder and Hodgkin's survivor Tony Campana while in Phoenix.

He's got 19 ballparks to go. After taking planes, trains and automobiles across America, Mueller will end his trip at Detroit's Comerica Park for a Tiger's game on September 14.

So far, Mueller has raised a little over $6,000. His goal is to raise $25,000.
