Final Preps For 2nd 'Made In America' Music Festival In Philly

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Tens of thousands people are expected at "Made in America" this weekend for the two-day music festival in Philadelphia.

The stages are set and, in less than 24 hours, the music will begin.

About 120 thousand people expected between both days of the event.

On Friday night, crews were working on the gates and putting in place a lot of the last-minute infrastructure needed for more than 30 different groups from various genres.

The city is hoping headliners Beyonce and Nine Inch Nails, along with dozens of other acts, bring the city more than $10 million in revenue, a big shot in the arm for the local economy.

Many hotels are sold out in the city, a rarity for Labor Day weekend in Philly, and it's because of people like the ones you're about to meet coming in for some good techno music.

James Vickery and his friends came down from Michigan looking to dance in the streets at the second-annual music festival.

FOX 29's Dave Kinchen spoke with them Friday and had more details on security for the festival.

"Made in America" is also shutting down a lot of area roads. To find out how you can easily navigate the closures, click here.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
