3 arrested during protest against US involvement in Syria

TEMPE, Ariz. -

People across the country are voicing their opinions on whether the US military should get involved in the civil war in Syria.

Some Arizonans decided to speak out against our country taking action in Syria.

A protest march headed for Mill Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

There are reportedly about 75 people gathered to protest the US taking military action in Syria.

Police say three people have been arrested. One person was arrested for blocking traffic, one for prior warrants and one for pulling a police horse's tail.

Others voiced their support of President Obama's decision.

A Scottsdale woman, who is the leader of a Syrian freedom organization at ASU, is happy to hear President Obama's plea to congress for military action in Syria.

Dana Zalttar is the organizer and president of the group Save Our Syrian Freedom, an Arizona State University student group. Her family is from Syria and she has spent a lot of time there.

She believes the Syrian people don't deserve what is happening in their country and thinks the US should be involved.
