SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police say an autopsy is planned for a 2-year-old boy who was found unresponsive in a vehicle parked at Macomb Co. mobile home park.

Police in Shelby Township say they responded to several 911 calls Tuesday evening at the Dequindre Estates Mobile Park near Hamlin Road and Dequindre and found the child.

Police say he was taken to Beaumont hospital in Troy and pronounced dead.

"I'm still dealing with the shock of it," said Bob Campbell Jr., who lives across the street from where the unidentified two-year-old was discovered.

The circumstances leading up to the boy's death remain under investigation. Police say relatives, including the boy's parents, have been interviewed. FOX 2's Roop Raj says police have received conflicting reports from people inside the mobile home community.

Raj says the autopsy was planned for Wednesday morning.

Police plan to discuss more details during a news conference this afternoon.
