Rapist struck at least 6 times in Queens

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The NYPD is on the hunt for a rapist responsible for the sexual assaults of six women in Queens since 2011.

In three of the incidents the victims were jogging in Forest Park when they were attacked.

The daylight assaults happened mostly in Forest Park and along Park Lane South at the southern edge of the park.

In the last two attacks -- in August and March -- the suspect used an electric stun gun to knock his victims to the ground, said police.

In November 2012, police say the suspect exposed himself to a 40-year-old woman as she jogged with her dog.

He rubbed himself against her before fleeing.

The man also tried to rape a 13-year-old girl in September 2011, said police.

A $22,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

He is described as 30-40 years old, approximately 5'9" tall, with light brown hair and clean shaven.

Police say he was wearing a black T-shirt and black sweat pants in one of the assaults.

Mayor Bill de Blasio won't be reimbursing the city for personal travels that involve his security detail. "We have followed the conflict of interest board guidelines. I am following their guidelines to the letter," said de Blasio. The mayor has been heavily criticized for not paying the city back for travel expenses. Attention around the issue started last week when de Blasio was spotted not paying for a subway ride to Barclays Center while on official business.
