SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Police have arrested a man suspected in a hit and run incident involving a roadside worker.

Investigators said Stephen Wamley, 30, left the scene after hitting a man who was working near U.S. Highway 17-92 and Raven Ave. in Longwood on Monday morning.  The victim is a participant in a work release program from Central Florida Reception Center.

Police officers from Longwood were joined by officers from Lake Mary and deputies from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office in their pursuit of Wamley.

Wamley was eventually tracked down at a home in Sanford where they found him hiding in the attic.  He was arrested, and so was the homeowner, 38-year-old Roger Dale Dean.

Wamley faces numerous traffic charges, including a hit and run and resting arrest, while Dean faces aiding and abetting charges.  Both men are in the Seminole County jail.
