The search is on for an armed and brazen robber who went on a wild crime spree in Orange County. Orange County Sheriff Deputies said it all began late Friday night when the suspect robbed employees outside of a Best Buy on West Colonial Drive.
After that they said he kidnapped and carjacked a woman in Pine Hills, before eventually ending his crime spree by robbing a 7-11 in East Orlando.
Fox 35 spoke with Ira Bowling, a neighbor who lives in the community where the woman was carjacked and kidnapped.
"I came outside, saw the crime scene tape. Came over here to check it out. Seen all the cops. Its crazy," says Bowling.
Surveillance video from the 7-11 on Goldenrod and Curry Ford in East Orlando shows the suspect bursting thru the doors and demanded that the clerk empty the cash register by pointing a 9mm handgun in her face.
The suspect is described as a black male, wearing khaki shorts, a black t-shirt and a distinctive baseball cap with a red bill. The suspect used a white t-shirt to cover his face.
Deputies have a clear description of the stolen vehicle the bold robber used to commit his crimes. Sergeant Scott Cheutski gives the info.
"It was a 2008 Chevy impala and the plate on that is Florida Tag 156 KRE and we're looking for the suspects on that. The plate on the front has a distinctive front plate that says Brooklyn on it," he said.
Investigators are asking for the public's assistance with locating this suspect who is considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to call the Crimeline at 1(800) 423-TIPS or the Orange County Sheriff's Office immediately.
