SUV hits pedestrians outside Queens school

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

An SUV plowed into a group of junior high school students Thursday morning in Maspeth, Queens. Two boys and three girls were injured. One girl was pinned beneath the silver Honda Pilot.

As police investigated the accident, the girl was taken to the hospital with a fractured leg, another with a broken one. Three others, ages 12 to 13, had minor injuries.

The scene of panic and horror happened at the busy corner of Grand Avenue and 71st Street, right as students were on their way to Intermediate School 73-Q.

The driver, who was questioned by police, was apparently trying to park when he accidentally hit the gas. He was not arrested, but it's unclear tonight whether he will face any charges.

Burger chain Five Guys is testing the adage that everything tastes better with bacon. It is rolling out a customizable milkshake program and along with bananas, peanut butter, Oreo cookies, salted caramel, you can chose bacon.  Yes that's right: a bacon milkshake.
