Street flooding has been reported in Cambridge, Monticello and Zimmerman. Highway 25 and Broad Street have been closed in Monticello due to flooding.

At the parking lot of DJ's Fireplace and Spa in Monticello, two inches of rain fell in just a half an hour, leaving an exercise pool partially full while it was waiting for a truck.

"We've gotta get the water out," Brent McShane told FOX 9 News. "We've got a flatbed coming right now."

They had to wait out the storm first, which packed a surprising punch.

"The street out here was flooded, and whenever a truck would go by, the waves would come in -- up to our building, into our garage door," McShane said.

One of McShane's coworkers took video of the quarter-sized hail that stranded him at home when he should have been driving to work.

"We were in the back shed and it hailed for a good 25 minutes straight, non-stop," McShane recalled, "and it was hard."

On Lake Pulaski in Buffalo, Minn., Jill Furneisen is now the proud owner of a twisted dock. Her boat lift was literally lifted, but her neighbors didn't suffer a similar fate.

"It hit pretty hard -- and it seemed to hit us real hard compared to everyone else," she said.

Furneisen said that's because she had sold her boat, so there was nothing to hold down the lift when the wind picked up.

"We saw the lift start to lift up," she recalled. "It started to head down shore."

An emergency manager in Anoka County reported stoplights were blown down in Andover and Coon Rapids.

One person suffered minor injuries when a large tree fell on a car in Hutchinson.
