Can you cycle off the booze?

Posted: Updated:
NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

Had a rough night? More and more women are spinning it off.

More American women are drinking more heavily than ever before: one in eight women drinks four or more cocktails three times a month, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

But there are no hangovers at MegaCycle in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. The women there have perfected the spin-tox -- doing a cycling workout to supposedly detox from the prior night's drinking. With lots of encouragement, the night before is a puddle on the floor.

But Dr. Stephanie Reynolds from Riverview Medical Center says there needs to be water in the ladies' bottles and plenty of it. And she points out that you're not actually spinning off the booze, by the way.

So women may be playing harder but they have found a way to work it off with spin-tox.
