TAMPA (FOX 13) -

When Trooper Dennis Rich pulled up on a traffic crash this afternoon, he had no idea he'd end up bringing a new baby into the world.

According to FHP, it was just after noon when Rich responded to a crash on eastbound Interstate 4, just across from the Amphitheater. While he was there, a westbound SUV pulled into the median.

Inside the SUV were Wiclef Desamour and his very pregnant wife, Latoya. The couple was rushing from Brandon to St. Joseph's Hospital for the delivery of their fourth child when they ran out of time.

Desamour flagged down Trooper Rich, who helped deliver a healthy baby girl in the median of I-4 between Hillsborough Avenue and Highway 301.

Paramedics arrived soon after and took Mom, Dad, and newborn baby Arabella the rest of the way to the hospital.
