Clinton late to Global Initiative, Bono does a great impersonation

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Former President Bill Clinton was late for his own Clinton Global Initiative address. But thanks to U2 front man Bono, no one seemed to mind the wait.

The rock star proved he can vamp with the best of them and can do a pretty good impersonation of the 42nd president.

"When I first met Bono, he walked into the oval office and actually I thought it was a member of his own road crew," Bono joked in his best Clinton voice. "He wasn't really dressed right but I felt like the rock star on that occasion."

Clinton said he was late because he forgot his notes and needed to retrieve them.
