Confederate Flag Growing In Popularity?

It's been nearly 150 years since the Civil War ended. And yet the Confederate flag is becoming a more frequent sight in Northern cities, like here in Philly.

And that raises the questions, why are so many "Yankees" in our area proudly waving around the confederate flag, a flag that for many is a symbol of hate and oppression?

Apparently not everyone looks at it that way.

Some who display the flag explain that to them, it is a way of honoring the bravery of the Confederate soldiers back in the day. It's an emblem of "heritage, not hate."

Bill Bender, reporter for Philly Daily News, and Dr. Charles Gallagher, Professor of Race and Ethnic Relations at La Salle University were on Good Day to share their thoughts and findings on the issue.
