Kids Health & Safety: Safe baby sleep

Posted: Updated:

All those toys and blankets in your baby's crib may look comforting and cozy, but they pose a major safety risk, says Renee Zarr, Kohl's Injury Prevention Education Coordinator.

Zarr says the key to safe baby sleep includes the following:

  • Do not use blankets. Try a Sleep Sack with arm and holes instead
  • No stuffed animals in the crib.
  • No bumper rails in the crib. Instead make sure the crib has a firm mattress and a tight-fitting sheet
