CSUN Students Concerned About Sex Assaults

Saturday morning, a Cal State Northridge student woke up  to find a  man standing over her, touching her bare leg,  campus police officers say .  The suspect also  allegedly took her wallet and some documents  and fled .  

The attack prompted a campus alert, sent to all students on Saturday. Police don't know how the man gained access to the woman's apartment, located in the University Park Apartment Complex, which provides on-campus housing for students.

 The suspect is described as an African-American man about 25 years old with a thin-athletic build.  He has  short black hair and dark eyes , a scar on his chin and was last seen wearing a red Adidas hooded sweatshirt and light-colored jeans.

There have been several other reports of crime around the University Park Apartments involving female residents. One, around midnight on Friday.

Four men forced their way into an apartment, claiming to be looking for another man.  The searched the apartment and then left, after making threatening statements.

Those  suspects were described as African-American men between the ages of 19 and 21. One man was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build . The second man is described as slender, 5 feet 7 inches tall  , with an open wound on his forehead. The third man was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build. The fourth man was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build.

Another woman reported four men matching those descriptions allegedly cornered her in the apartment building's  mail room, but she got away after using a stun gun on one of them.

 Back  on September 29th around 9:30 a.m., a woman was approached by four men matching the descriptions other reports in a University parking lot. The men allegedly offered her money and made sexual advances toward her. One man allegedly grabbed her arm and another grabbed her hand, according to police.

Police aren't saying if they believe the incidents are related
