Swapping makeup with women online

Makeup is an important and personal part of most women's lives. Most wouldn't think of sharing it, but it's happening. In fact there's an entire social media page dedicated to it called Makeup Exchange, a page on Reddit dedicated to swapping out your makeup with other glam girls.

But not everyone thinks it's that glamorous. It is a way to save money though, but at what cost?

Dr. Doris Day, a dermatologist, says buyer beware.

"To do it in a random way with people that you don't know," she says. "You don't know if they have any eye conditions if they have an infection. For the face I'm not as concerned. But anything that involves the eye I think you have to be so careful."

The Makeup Exchange does suggest that customers sanitize their used products before sending them out. Still, we were hard pressed to find a woman who would swap out their Nars bronzer for other used goods.

Dr. Day says if you do decide to use the exchange it's best to sanitize the makeup you get in the swap yourself.

We've all fallen for at least one joke in our lives, probably some internet hoax meant to get a rise out of people. But now Facebook is trying to stop the spread of those fake jokes and stories. When you get the day's headlines from your social media news feed, it can be a challenge to figure out what might be made up or what might be the shocking truth.

Currently, Internet companies such as Google and Facebook do not offer their services to children under 13, but many youngsters and their parents find a workaround.

Momentum to shift some gambling away from Atlantic City increased Tuesday as a state senator introduced plans for a constitutional amendment that would put slot machines at New Jersey's four horse racing tracks, a business group increased its planning for an anticipated full-blown casino at the Meadowlands sports complex and the state gave final approval for the Showboat to shut down.
