The actor announced he's been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes on the Late Show with David Letterman. He said his doctor told him his problems with blood sugar have developed into the disease that effects more than 26 million Americans. Hanks confirmed it on Twitter today letting fans know it's not Type 1 Diabetes, that can be deadly, but he can control it with diet and medication and plans to.
