Items To Skip, Buy In Support Of Breast Cancer Fight

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

It's breast cancer awareness month, and many of us are going pink to show our support.

But there are many products out there that promise to donate to charity but don't donate as much as one might hope.

Consumer reporter Steve Noviello showed "Good Day Philadelphia" with some products that do make legitimate donations.

Queasy Drops from Three Lollies are an all-natural remedy for the queasiness felt when going through chemotherapy. They cost $5.50 a jar and a portion of the proceeds go to the Stop Cancer Marni Fund.

Xolo designed two pairs of shoes for the cause, and 10% of proceeds go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

50% of the net sales from the Pur Attitude three piece skin essentials kit go to the Texas based National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Watch the clip above to see what other products donate proceeds to the fight against breast cancer.

Insurance policies have rules governing what's covered and what's not. Generally, they make sense. The rules are designed to prevent unreasonable costs from being passed along to the insurer, and by extension to other insurance customers. But listen to Sheree Kober's story.
