COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Missouri defensive end Michael Sam heads into Saturdays' game against No. 7 Georgia tied for the most sacks in the Southeastern Conference.
Sam's six sacks have helped 25th-ranked Missouri get off to a perfect start at 5-0. The Tigers have already equaled their win total from 2012, and the defensive line is a primary reason despite the loss of second-team all-SEC tackle Sheldon Richardson to the New York Jets.
The Tigers know that Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray presents a big challenge.
