Criticism Around New TSA Announcement At Airport

Posted: Updated:
Have you heard the new public address system announcement at the airport from the TSA? The announcement is garnering criticism from critics of the security system for what some see as a rather extreme warning that's meant to intimidate travelers.

We were able to obtain audio from the announcement at George Bush International Airport in Houston:

"Do not be persuaded by strangers or individuals you do not know well to take articles aboard your flight. You are also reminded that any inappropriate remarks or jokes concerning security may result in your arrest. We appreciate your cooperation while these measures are in effect."

The warning that's now spreading all over the Internet is being criticized as a violation of First Amendment rights meant to prevent people complaining about overly aggressive searches.
