Season 4 of "The Walking Dead" premiered earlier this month to a record breaking 16.1 million viewers.
Now the show stars actress Danai Gurira as the quiet, but fearless warrior Michonne.
Gurira is also an award winning playwright, and her latest work is showing here in Philly.
"The Convert" examines cultural and religious issues that have shaped the world. Set in 1895, the play goes into Zimbabwean history and post-colonial Africa, telling the story through a 16-year-old girl. "The Convert" opens Wednesday night at the Wilma Theater.
If you still can't get enough of Gurira, you can catch her in the independent film "Mother of George," premiering at Landmark Ritz at the Bourse on November 22.
"Mother of George" tells the story of a Nigerian couple and their struggle to have children. The film won best cinematography at Sundance.
