Facebook is now letting a group of users share their post with a bigger audience. Teenagers can now share their posts on the social network with anyone on the Internet. However, this could spell trouble, as teens will be leaving a digital trail that could be hard to get rid of.
Until now, Facebook users falling within the ages of 13 to 17 were limited to sharing information and photos with only their friends or friends of those friends.
This new policy will give teens the choice of switching their settings so that their posts can be accessible to the general public. Teens will get a warning when they choose to share things openly, but that still has parents worried about the risks of sharing things online.
Facebook says that they hope the new policy will get more teens to spend time on Facebook instead of other social media sites, such as Twitter or Snapchat.
