This weekend has gone to the dogs and the cats. There is so much fun planned for this weekend, that FOX Fursday had to feature two sets of guests today. The ACCT, PSPCA and PAWS were all on Good Day to talk about their weekend events.

The Pennsylvania SPCA and the Animal Care and Control Team (ACCT) of Philadelphia are teaming up for a Mega Match-a-Thon.

The Mega Match-a-thon will run for three days from Friday to Sunday, and it will feature a "pick-your-own-price" adoption. The adopted animal will come with everything that goes with the standard adoption fee, but the adopter gets to name his or her price. The event will happen at both the ACCT and the PSPCA. There will be music, food and lots of great party events.

Also, the ACCT is presenting a "duck dash" on Saturday at Love Park. There will be lots of rubber duckies diving into Love Fountain. It will be a fundraising event to replace old dog kennels in animal shelters.

The first pet, presented by the PSPCA, is Lola. She's a rescued little stray dog who's up for adoption. The other pet presented by the ACCT is Chucky. He's a snuggly little cat. These are just two of the pets to be featured at the Mega Match-a-Thon.

The seventh annual Mutt Strut will take place at the Navy Yard starting at 9:00 a.m on Saturday. You can walk your dog, bring your dog for grooming, or dress your dog up for Halloween. All the proceeds go to help PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) at the same time.

Melissa Levy was on Good Day today to introduce a few animals to the viewers. All of them were strays that were turned into shelters.

First dog introduced was Penelope. She's between one and two years old. She's a Beagle mix that likes to wander around and smell stuff. The next dog is Oliver. He's one or two year old mini poodle mix. Finally, there's Haney, who's a five or six month-old pit mix. He's playful and active.

The Mutt Strut event costs $25 and the donations help PAWS.

There will be dozens of dogs at the event looking for homes, so there is a little bit of something for anyone looking to adopt.

There will also be tons of great activities, live music, contests and about a dozen food trucks.
