(FOX/CNS) - Los Angeles police asked for the public's help today
to find a 22-year-old woman who was allegedly kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend.
The victim, Karen Pineda, was last seen around 7 p.m. in the 4000 block
of Huntington Drive asking her ex-boyfriend Jose Luis Marin, who is also known
as Jose Luis Marin Duran, to leave the area because police had been called,
according to the LAPD.
A subsequent investigation revealed that Pineda was shoved into a car by
Marin, police said. The car was described as silver 2004 Nissan four-door
Altima. Its license number is 6MPU056.
Pineda is Hispanic, with brown hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet, 1
inch tall and weighs about 170 pounds. She was last seen wearing an orange
tank top and blue jeans, according to the LAPD.
The suspect, 28-year-old Marin, is also Hispanic. He has black hair and
brown eyes, and stands 5 feet 7 inches tall. He weighs about 170 pounds and has
a tattoo of spider on one of his elbows and the name "Matthew" and several
skulls tattooed on his back, according to police.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Pineda and or Marin was
