NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

President Barack Obama received a rock star reception at Pathways in Technology Early College High School in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn on Friday.

During his state of the union speech he had highlighted this technical high school as a shining example of a school preparing its students for tech jobs of the future.

Mayor Mike Bloomberg also visited the school, which opened just two years ago as a partnership among the city, CUNY, and IBM.

The students were thrilled for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see and meet the president.
