SEMINOLE (FOX 13) -

We have a good update to a story we first brought you two weeks ago.

Remember Kitty and Jack? The Seminole cat was rescued from coyotes by her owner's pit bull.

Kitty is doing a lot better after a few weeks of recovery. Sheree Lewis said Kitty is limping a little bit, but she has made a turnaround.

"Kitty is making a remarkable recovery. I'd say she is probably 80 percent. Her brain swelling is gone, she's able to walk around. She's going to need surgery on her mouth for a broken tooth and for her elbow," she told FOX 13 News.

Jack is doing well also.

"Jack likes the cat. He checks on her all the time and follows her around," said Lewis.

Jack belongs to Lewis' son, who is currently serving in Afghanistan.

Lewis said they have not been able to catch the coyotes yet, but they keep Kitty inside at all times.
