ROSWELL, Ga. -

Police say they now have the man they believe was involved in an armed home invasion robbery that surprised residents in their Roswell home earlier this month.

A spokesperson for the Roswell Police Department tells FOX 5 News that they arrested 27-year-old Robert Earl Foster, Jr. for the October 18th crime that happened in the 500 block of Hembree Grove Overlook.

They say residents got into a brief struggle with Foster before he tied up the victim and fled the scene. The resident was not seriously injured in the incident.

Police say Foster is homeless and they believe the home was randomly targeted.

He is being charged with burglary, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and theft by taking. He is also wanted by Cobb County and may have violated terms of his parole on a previous arrest for which he served time.
