Orlando, Florida-Orlando police are searching for 2 people who stole a van. The owner says it's truly affecting her health.
Linda Rodriguez is disabled. And now she says, she no longer has a way to get around, after someone stole her van.
It was a navy blue, Dodge Caravan, "It's special to me because I'm a disabled person and that's my transportation to go to the doctor every day."
Linda says her son in law was able to track the location of the van using a GPS on his cell phone, which he happened to leave inside the vehicle. The son in law was too afraid to talk on camera, but says the GPS led him to a parking lot off I-Drive. When the son in law spotted the van, he walked up to the driver's side window and that's when he says, the suspects started shooting at him, "That was very bad. They told me he was shot at 3 times."
According to the police report a man and women were inside the van. Witnesses say around half a dozen shots were fired. Investigators plan to review surveillance video taken from businesses nearby, "Any idea of where that van could be now, no. I haven't the slightest idea where it could be." While Linda is upset that she no longer has her specialty van, she says it's a blessing that her son in law didn't get hit, "Thank God, I think a life is more important than transportation."
The report states, a window at a bar off International Drive was hit by one of the bullets.
